That time Ben Affleck did that genealogy PBS program with Henry Louis Gates and Henry told him that one of his ancestors was a slave owner in Georgia and the sony email hack scandal revealed that  Affleck+team pressured PBS to leave out the slave owner reveal in the final cut of the show because he felt “uncomfortable”

Do people think that only 8 families owned slaves back then?? I assume ALL white people I meet are descendants of owners from either side of the family
